A safe, respectful and professional environment for every delegate, speaker, sponsor and partner. The Law & Real Estate Conference 2026 convenes Uganda’s legal, real estate, financial and regulatory communities — and we are committed to making it welcoming and dignified for all who attend.
1.1 All attendees, speakers, moderators, sponsors, exhibitors, partners, volunteers and staff of the Law & Real Estate Conference 2026 (“the Conference”) are required to observe this Code of Conduct. The Conference is organised by LREC Global SMC Ltd and convened by Baylor Global Real Estate, in partnership with the Uganda Law Society and the Association of Real Estate Agents Uganda (AREA Uganda) (together, “the Organisers”).
1.2 The Organisers are committed to providing a professional, harassment-free, and discrimination-free experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, nationality, religion (or lack thereof), professional standing, or background.
1.3 This Code applies throughout the Conference: in all sessions, masterclasses, panels, the exhibition, the gala dinner, networking functions, and any related social events, as well as on all official online channels and social media associated with the Conference.
1.4 By registering for or attending the Conference, every participant agrees to comply with this Code and to cooperate with the Organisers in maintaining a welcoming and dignified environment for all.
2.1 As a forum convening Uganda’s legal, real estate, financial and regulatory communities, the Conference upholds the highest standards of professional courtesy and integrity. All participants are expected to:
3.1 The Organisers do not tolerate harassment, discrimination, or intimidation of Conference participants in any form. Harassment includes, but is not limited to:
3.2 Soliciting, canvassing, or commercial activity outside the bounds of a participant’s registered or sponsored capacity, and any conduct intended to mislead or defraud other participants, is likewise prohibited.
4.1 Any participant asked to stop harassing or unacceptable behaviour is expected to comply immediately.
4.2 If a participant engages in behaviour that violates this Code, the Organisers may take any action they deem appropriate, including a formal warning, removal from a session, or expulsion from the Conference without refund, at their sole discretion.
4.3 The Organisers reserve the right to refuse admission to, or remove from, the Conference any person whose conduct is deemed unacceptable or in breach of this Code, and to report conduct to the relevant professional body or to law enforcement where appropriate.
4.4 The Organisers may also take action to address any conduct designed to, or having the clear effect of, disrupting the Conference or creating a hostile environment for any participant.
5.1 If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concern, please contact a member of the Conference team immediately. Organising staff can be identified by their branded clothing and/or Organiser badges.
5.2 Conference staff will be glad to help you contact venue security or local law enforcement, provide an escort, or otherwise assist you to feel safe for the duration of the Conference. Your wellbeing and attendance are valued.
5.3 Reports may be made in person, or through the channels below. A confidential report can be relayed through any Organiser; while the Organisers cannot always follow up an anonymous report directly with the reporter, every report will be fully and discreetly investigated and appropriate action taken to prevent recurrence.
6.1 In any situation involving immediate danger to safety or health, contact the emergency services first, then notify the nearest Organiser or venue security.
